A Growth Mindset..

Our Vision

To help build a strong and self-sustaining semiconductor ecosystem in ASEAN by making advanced semiconductor technologies, workflows, and talent development more accessible

Why Spring Semiconductor Was Founded

Spring Semiconductor was founded by Ken Khoo, an engineer and entrepreneur with experience from the Silicon Valley technology ecosystem during the early 2000s. After years of observing Asia’s growing dependence on foreign semiconductor ecosystems, he recognized an important challenge: :ASEAN had engineering talent, but lacked sufficient local semiconductor capability, infrastructure, and ecosystem integration."

Spring Semiconductor was created to help bridge that gap. Rather than focusing only on isolated services, the company aims to build interconnected semiconductor capabilities spanning technology, talent, prototyping, and long-term ecosystem development.

A Practical Engineering Philosophy

We believe semiconductor innovation should be:

  • Practical, not over-engineered
  • Scalable, not isolated
  • Accessible, not limited to large corporations
  • Ecosystem-driven, not siloed

Our approach emphasizes balancing:

  • performance
  • development speed
  • engineering talent
  • economic sustainability

This allows organizations and institutions to participate in semiconductor innovation without requiring billion-dollar infrastructure.

Building Talent for the Future

One of the largest challenges facing the semiconductor industry is the shortage of experienced engineering talent.

Spring Semiconductor actively supports talent development through:

  • mentorship programs
  • internship initiatives
  • university collaborations
  • hands-on engineering exposure
  • industry-oriented training programs

The company believes long-term semiconductor growth depends not only on technology, but also on building capable engineers, researchers, and innovators.

Industry Collaboration

Spring Semiconductor collaborates with:

  • universities
  • engineering communities
  • industry partners
  • ecosystem builders
  • semiconductor organizations

These collaborations help accelerate knowledge transfer, technical capability, and ecosystem maturity across the region.

Our Long-Term Goal

Our long-term objective is not simply to provide engineering services.

It is to help establish a practical semiconductor innovation ecosystem capable of supporting:

  • local innovation
  • advanced prototyping
  • AI-assisted engineering
  • future semiconductor technologies
  • next-generation talent development
